Siruvani dam reservoir 4
Siruvani is 46 km north of Mannarkad and 48 km from Palakkad. The reservoir at Siruvani was built for Tamil Nadu by the Kerala Government to meet the drinking water requirements of Coimbatore. The gateways on either side of the road across the dam are typical of the Kerala and Tamil architectural styles. Siruvani is also home to certain tribals like the Mudugars and Irulars.

ehhh... tell me about bananas! ♫
cough, cough and cough… a survivor, the pink-necked green pigeon! although they are among the most commonly found birds in singapore, they have been away from mount faber for awhile… i found this little fella yesterday, late afternoon, in the middle of tree leaves, branches and smoke…õ_Õ ha, sorry! the focus is a little off from the lack of light and the windy situation, but i still love his facial expression!:D i think they’ve disappeared from mount faber because of the weekly insecticide fogging (for mosquito breeding *dengue fever*) and so, i was particularly happy by his short visit!
